# promptclay daily greeting card

> A free image that shows a new clay greeting card every day: a festival when there is one, a small everyday scene when
> there is not. Add it once; the picture changes at midnight, India time. One link and one image: no script, no cookies.

The image is an SVG with the art inside, so it is sharp on every screen. There is no second file for retina screens.

## Options (query string)

- `shape`: `wide` (3:1, the default), `square`, `strip` (5:1, for footers). Leave it out for wide.
- `size`: `s`, `m` (default), `l`. Width × height in CSS pixels:

- `lang`: `en` (default) or `hi` (the greeting in Hindi).
- `from`: the site's name, up to 30 characters, URL-encoded. It signs the card ("from Kavya's Kitchen"). Optional.

## Rules

1. Keep the link to https://promptclay.com/doodles around the image.
2. Use the image address as it is. Never download the image or host a copy: the address stays the same and the picture
   changes every day.
3. Always set `width` and `height` from the table. On narrow layouts add `style="max-width:100%;height:auto"`.
4. Use `loading="lazy"`, unless the card is on the first screen of the page.
5. No JavaScript, no iframe, no extra tracking.
6. The site owner may add `rel="nofollow"` to the link if they want to.

## Where it goes, by framework

- React, Next.js: a plain `<img>`, not `next/image` (it would keep one day's picture). In JSX write `width={400}`.
- Astro, Vue, Svelte: plain HTML in the footer or layout component.
- WordPress: a Custom HTML block (the footer: Appearance → Editor → Footer).
- Shopify: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Footer → add a Custom Liquid block.
- Webflow, Framer, Wix, Squarespace: an Embed or Code block.
